this coming weekend.

So if the finances work itself out okay, it looks like the Willamette *will* be able to go to the Evergreen winter percussion show.

That's great and all, but it's going to be a lot of stress for me. a) we're not quite ready. b) because aaron and mark are playing in a wind ensemble gig, they won't be able to make it, which means i'm the only staff member there, and c) because of another gig (perc. ensemble maybe?) i'm going to be the only staff member at the rehearsal on the next day on sunday.

wheeeeeeeeee. tell me again why i'm doing this for no money?

oh yeah... love the kids. right. *wan smile*

and because you and mark are the best thing that have happened to that program and are what's kept it together over the past few years?

seriously. and your latest post (dealing with bart's ineptitude) totally proves it.

when i was in high school we used to sit around and wonder about what in the world made you stick around at willamette, and we sure couldn't figure it out.

surely bart has his issues, but honestly, in comparison to all of the other band directors i've worked with out here and even some of the ones i had on the east coast, i couldn't ask for a better boss.

mark and i love bart to death. willamette has been a blessing of a gig.

we should talk about it sometime. :)
