this one is kind of neat.

1: Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page eighteen, find line four. Write down what it says:

unfortunately, page 18 of this book is a blank one (the prologue ends on page 17), so instead i'm going to have to choose from page 21.

if we're talking literally line four, it reads, "take their morning klava and watch the ocean. The enclosed terrace,"

if we're talking about *sentence* four, it reads, "This second entrance had been sealed off, and a guard was posted at the first, with instructions to admit no one without permission of either Her Majesty or the officer on duty."

2: Stretch your left arm out as far as you can. What do you touch first?

the wall.

3: What is the last thing you watched on TV?

Mark was watching Lord of the Rings while i was writing step charts and doing work.

4: WITHOUT LOOKING, guess what time it is:

17:01

5: Now look at the clock; what is the actual time?

16:56

6: With the exception of the computer, what can you hear?

cars outside my window.

7: When did you last step outside? What were you doing?

i just came back from being outside. I went to the post office to mail out something i sold on ebay, a card to kim, and two packages to minna.

8: Before you came to this website, what did you look at?

The Register Guard classifieds.

9: What are you wearing?

blue jeans with a belt, a white t-shirt, an eddie bauer sweater, an eddie bauer spring jacket, white socks, black sneakers, the wish bracelet that Danielle On made for me as a present at winter perc finals, and my two rune necklace from winter perc finals at Wildwood with Washington Township.

10: Did you dream last night?

if i did, i don't remember.

11: When did you last laugh?

last night, i think, hanging out with rachel.

12: What is on the walls of the room you are in?

a lot of wires - speaker wire, ethernet cables. that's really it. we never put a lot of energy into decorating this place.

13: Seen anything weird lately?

i think so, but i forget what it was.

14: What do you think of this quiz?

at least it's not asking for my name, date of birth, or other things that everyone would already know by now.

15: What is the last film you saw?

eternal sunshine of a spotless mind.

16: If you became a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you buy first?

debt freedom is a cop-out answer, so i'll say... a g4 laptop.

17: Tell me something about you that I don't know

everyone knows a little something about me. maybe most of the people who read this don't know that the place that i feel safest to express my emotions to their fullest is in my car.

18: If you could change one thing about the world, regardless of guilt or politics, what would you do?

i can't say about the world because i don't know enough about it, but i'd change the united states's general attitude about the importance of the arts and extracurricular activities.

19: Do you like to dance?

indeed.

20: George Bush: is he a power-crazy nutcase or some one who is finally doing something that has needed to be done for years?

neither. I have and always will strongly disapprove of our current president, but i don't think he makes these choices because he's power-crazy or because he's stupid. He just sees things in a different perspective, and he runs things the way he sees fit. i can respect that, but i can't sanction it. Something needs to Drastically Change if this country is going to put itself on the right track again.

21: Imagine your first child is a girl, what do you call her?

it's not entirely up to me.

21: Imagine your first child is a boy, what do you call him?

see the other 21.

22: Would you ever consider living abroad?

yes. i wouldn't mind living in australia or maybe trying some random country in europe.

"Sethra Lavode" by Steven Brust. it came out about yesterday.

third book in the Viscount of Adrilankha series, which is a sequel to the Khaavren Romances, which is set in the same universe as the Vlad Taltos series.

my favorite author.
