here's a random thought:

there came a point where consumerism started to favor things that are portable.

laptops. CD players or MP3 players. portable DVD playesr for the backseat of a car or the plane. cell phones. smaller and smaller cameras.

As more things become portable, there are more things that i wish would get on the bandwagon.

for example:

i really want to have a portable shower. I want to be able to just take a shower anywhere. After a long DDR day or a long marching band day, it's a pain to have to go back to my house to shower. When you're on drum corps tour, you basically have to roll the dice on whether or not the high school or middle school you're staying at has proper shower facilities. But if you had a portable shower, you wouldn't have to deal with that.

gleh. suddenly i'm tired. time to do some work, or take a quick nap before working.

They need to put up some coin-op showers in random locations around town, at least. Wouldn't that be convenient? lol

GOD I was thinking that they did. They have everything else there for convenience, not to mention that there were bathouses in Japan and all (I think they're banned now, I'm not sure?)

I have this strange feeling that that can go terribly wrong in the states...
