cds.

where do people go either in person or online to buy music these days?

There's an album that i actually want to Buy, but i'm not sure where to do it. i want to avoid amazon. it's for a fairly obscure artist also ("Clark"), so silly stores like Wal-Mart or Target aren't options either.

I like AwareStore.com, though they focus somewhat on Midwest bands.

Ah, okay. :\

Well, can't say I didn't try, lol.

What about iTunes?

heh. that's another good try, but one of the reasons i want to buy it is to have it on physical cd and in a WAV or AIFF format as opposed to mp3 or aac4 or whatever that is.

i know, i know... i'm difficult. :)

i was avoiding using the warprecords store (even though i would buy from them since they're the direct label) just because it's a UK store so would probably have UK shipping costs. i was too lazy to see if their shipping was huge as it was last time i checked, though, which was years ago.

i'll check out the other links you put up to see what they're all about. thanks. :)

except i don't want to pay shipping from the uk, i think. it's been a while since i last looked at buying from there, though - it's possible that they've changed their rates/policies whatever.

I usually go to Everyday Music, a local(ish) used/new store with 3 locations in Portland and Seattle.

I'm not buying new major label music anymore, though :P

You could try a local place in Eugene like CD World?

my boyfriend goes through half.com for all kinds of CDs and hasn't had too many issues with them. though one time he got a CD that was put in a case of another artist that would be an embarassing addition to his collection. He is adamant about having the physical CD in his collection, though in some cases that has waned recently.
