don't know much about it myself, but i think the basic premise is that the 4x4 grid are all buttons that you press. not sure what the visual interface is all about.

That's what I want to know, what the HOLY FUCK is going on there?

This series is likely going to be a complete disaster like PPP/DMX or a smash hit success. I can see this as a PS3 CS marketing ploy as well, with so many buttons and all...

yeah, i can't decide if it's going to suck or pwn. the visual interface will be key to that. my two stab-in-the-dark guesses are a) different colored states, so red-yellow-green and you have to hit when green, or b) a zooming in sort of thing so the "closer" it gets to you, you have to hit it (which oddly reminds me of tempest).

right now i'm just calling it a true electronic version of whack-a-mole.

What I don't get is the lack of a screen, or am I missing something?

i meant the grid itself. if the individual grid squares light up in colors or if each square on the grid is itself a screen that tells you when to hit that particular square.

or maybe that weird cube thing sitting on top is the "screen" too, but i was thinking that was just the marquee.
