ugh.

there's nothing like a Whole Foods that makes you realize how much you miss Market of Choice.

Manders did say that the one in Meterie is better than the one that i went to, so maybe it deserves another chance.

I hate the Whole Foods here in Maine. It has almost nothing I want. I by coriander powder there, but that's about it.

I have probably been spoiled by the mega Whole Foods of Santa Monica-- it's the only one I've been to, and they have plenty of what I want, I just can't afford it.

it's really the prices that are annoying. But it comes from being spoiled in oregon - we had great organic food stores that weren't priced so ridiculously. i like a lot of the stuff in there, i just remember walking through it thinking, "i could spend half as much on the asme stuff in oregon."

I love our whole foods! Maybe ours is just good?
It's expensive but we go there and buy stuff to make something special rather than going out lately. Works out in the budget!

we actually do most of our grocery shopping here.

http://www.andersonsstore.com/ they have this great butcher shop
www.thehouseofmeats.com No antibiotics, no solutions, no additives. Its also a local ohio chain, so I feel better about giving them my money.

Not alot of organic produce, but all of their produce is produced by ohio growers and that's pretty cool. The meats are also generally all Ohio. Grant and I can get in an out on a weekly budget for two for about 50 - 80 without watching what we put in the cart. Even less when we are being careful. (that includes detergent and paper towels generally) I love love love the Andersons.

or www.meijer.com I don't think they have any that far south, its a pretty much Midwest chain. However, they have pretty cheap organic produce. 3lbs or organic spinach for 5.00 everyday.

What other options do you have in the area?

two local groceries: Robert's and Rouses. No safeway or meijer or any of that sort of jazz unless i maybe go out to metairie.
