quick ramblings

i feel like writing even though i don't have much to say. I was trying to come up with topics and they flitted about my head and left as quickly as flies buzzing or loud cars passing. A few of those thoughts (some of which are incomplete) included:

- sometimes i feel that this state of being single doesn't actually feel much differen tthan when i was together with some of my long distance relationhips, and if i think about that more, it mtakes no sense whatsoever.

- imagine a white wet bath towel traveling through the air having been lofted.

- freakin' Plane'arium.

- watching a lot of Doctor Who and Torchwood can add common british words like "telly" and "lift" (for elevator) and "advert" to your daily vocabulary. watching something like Charlie Brooker's Screenwipe will add words/phrases like "sod off" and "tosser" and "wanker".

- Just. This. Once.

- Scattered thoughts don't really play out like incomplete pictures in my head. That's still too concrete. Because you can still quantify or associate an incomplete picture, make it complete in some way or identify it as something unidentifiable in your head when you look at a picture or part of a picture. incomplete thoughts don't always have that sort of comprehension, cohesiveness. it's a confused garble of mishmashy potato snowflakes puffed up in an ice ceram cone with polar bears and dancing nails on the head of an angel tossing a baseball into the void of the pas where it gets dropped into the center of a black hole and put into the realm where Omega has the Hand of Rassilon and needs to put it on to take out the cake in the oven.

this week is pretty poker lite since Andre is in town, but last week i started playing again after a two week hiatus because the urge started to come back, and i've since won $150ish so far. I don't know if i'm getting better or if i'm in an upswing or both, but i'm not going to complain.

but anyway - i miss talking to you too. :) we'll catch up again soon, promise. <3

Hi new friend! I find I know I've been watching too much British telly when I say things like "British telly". Also, reading too much Brit based fanfic when I start spelling words the British way.

the only word i really spell brit-wise these days is "manoeuvre", and that's mainly because i think it looks better than the US spelling which i don't even know that well.

But i've said "advertisement" and "advert" the british way ever since i was in middle school oh-those-many-years-ago when i actually watched doctor who and monty python and red dwarf and etc. growing up.

these days i sometimes say "project" and "progress" the british way, not just because of british telly but because of conference calls i'll have at my job every now and again that involve people in the UK.

it throws some people off, and then i can feel a little self-conscious about it, but then i just laugh it off.
