- for livejournal to assign a particular friends filter on an entry based on the entry's tags.

- for Transformers to have had more identity. it felt like it wanted to be a kids film and a teen film and a "old transformers fan who is all growed up" film all at once. it was generally pretty to look at, but unfortunately the script and weak plot made it absolutely rubbish in my mind, and the fast-motion camera movements made me nauseous.

- for AU to email me back concerning my pinball machine.

genies typically grant three wishes, so i guess i should stop.

There was some talk a while ago about LJ doing just that, with people being able to opt in and out of different tagged filters and so forth. I think they were just teasing us all though. ;)

Transformers was always from the viewpoint of the Transformers themselves, not the humans. =\ Stupid movie.

i didn't mind the perspective coming mainly from the humans, and i didn't mind the mystery involved in the whole thing as set up by the beginning of the movie as a concept, but the execution of it just ended up being horrible because of poorly written scripts and poorly written situations. it was one of those movies that decided that all of the detail effort was going to go to the CGI and the action scenes whereas everything else could be glossed over. let's make sure every spec of optimus prime looks awesome when he undergoes his first transformation and have it take about 20 seconds to execute and give it an extra 0.7M budget, but we'll leave the audience scratching their head as to how whatshisface has megatron hot on his heels at the bottom of the building but somehow is able to make it to the top of the building up all of those flights of stairs without any difficulty or how all of this talk of optimus having to sacrifice himself by absorbing the cube gets completely nullified by the fact that they can just point it at one of the decepticons instead.

frickin' ridiculous.

wow spoilers!

personally i didn't care to see the movie to begin with. funny how my brother-in-law was raving about the movie. heh.

lots of people really liked it. i know many people who thought it was fantastic. i'm not sure why. really didn't do much for me.

couldn't you set a friends filter for recurring tags, like "future plans" or "movies/games"?
Jul. 10th, 2007 12:27 am (UTC)
i can set a filter and call that filter the tag, but the filter still needs to be manually applied and manually set up. what i'd prefer is to be able to say "jack gets to read any entry with the tag necrophilia" by addingi that attribute to jack's LJ name. then when i use the tag "necrophilia", he is the only one that can see it. then i can create tag-filters for all of my friends and then all of my security is based off of that as opposed to having to set up friends filters according to those tags.
