friday five'o'ween

taken from dr4b.

1. What was your first Halloween costume?

i have no recollection whatsoever.

2. What was your best costume and why?

there were five or six years of my life where i wore all black every day of the year except for halloween. I'd break out my white dinkles and put on the only pair of non-black pants i had and find a white t-shirt. it's funny that more people didn't figure it out.

my venture into other colors was a gradual one. At some point i stopped wearing black pants on a regular basis even though i still always wore black sneaks and a black t-shirt. So the impact of wearing no black on halloween was even more lost on most people, but i remember one year when i was at some party or something with a whole bunch of friends at WCU and platypi25 noticed i wasn't wearing any black almost as soon as i walked through the door.

i decided to wear all white for the party i'm going to tonight... while i don't wear all black hardly at all anymore, i hardly ever wear all white either. i don't own white sneaks anymore. I borrowed a pair from Mark and also a white button down. I only have beige khakis, but hopefully that'll still stick out as being an unusual color scheme for me.

3. Did you ever play a trick on someone who didn't give you a treat?

Nope. never been much of a trickster.

4. Do you have any Halloween traditions? (ie: Family pumpkin carving, special dinner before trick or treating, etc.)

i don't think so. maybe just wearing no black whatsoever.

5. Share your favorite scary story...real or legend!

the plot for parasite eve II was pretty good. plus there was a journal article in the game that had the name "Mendel" in it. it'd take too long to describe and i don't remember it that well anymore. kind of want to play that game again.

i need a nap.

what're your plans for tonight?
Oct. 31st, 2003 03:41 pm (UTC)
plans? i have plans? oh no wait. i don't. :p i plan to sit around and feel sorry for myself for a while, then i'm thinkin'... whatever my rhino wants to do. we'll probably eat. maybe play video games. who knows.

(i apologize for my pathetic mood and comments right now. i'm just.... moody. :p hope you understand)
Oct. 31st, 2003 03:52 pm (UTC)
no issues. moodiness is normal.

hope ya feel better.
Oct. 31st, 2003 03:53 pm (UTC)

Oct. 31st, 2003 03:57 pm (UTC)

Oct. 31st, 2003 03:58 pm (UTC)

*unstrangles* i wouldn't want to be demoted to stranger. :p
Oct. 31st, 2003 04:13 pm (UTC)
nah... it's hard to get demoted. everyone deserves a good strangle every now and again. ;)
Oct. 31st, 2003 04:14 pm (UTC)
great then. how often is "now and then", just so i'm clear on this? ;)
Oct. 31st, 2003 04:17 pm (UTC)
wouldn't you like to know. ;p
Oct. 31st, 2003 04:23 pm (UTC)
ohhh. is that how we're gonna play? well fine. i'm gonna go look at a thing in a bag, and i'm not gonna tell you what it is. so ner to you.
Oct. 31st, 2003 04:44 pm (UTC)
*drinking a drink by the stick*

*yawn* it -is- time for a nap before i go out. tuckered from gettin' up early.
Oct. 31st, 2003 04:46 pm (UTC)
fine fine. i'll entertain myself. go to sleep. want me to sing you a lullaby?
Oct. 31st, 2003 06:44 pm (UTC)

sure. ;)

although these days i usually put on a south partk episode to help me sleep.
Nov. 1st, 2003 08:44 am (UTC)
oh yeah, that's really soothing. :p
Nov. 1st, 2003 10:11 am (UTC)
it's all about familiarity. I used to *have* to fall asleep to music, and i could fall asleep to any music so long as i knew what the music was. i'd have to be able to shut off what was going on or put it in the background, but it could have been anything.... pantera, slayer, public enemy.

But putting even the most soothing CD on "shuffle" would mess me up.

as long as i know the south park episode pretty well (and i know a lot of south park episodes pretty well), i can fall asleep within ten minutes. sometimes five.

*yawn*. it's 10am, yet i got five hours of sleep. busy work day for me today...
Nov. 1st, 2003 10:43 am (UTC)
oh man. i can't ever fall asleep to things i know. 'cause i'll end up singing along in my head and that prevents sleepage for me. heh. but hey, whatever works for you. even if it isn't me beautimous voice. hehe. ;)

i got at 8:30am. i win. :p ner to you. but what is busy for you today? whatcha gonna do?
