an obtuse line of useless thought.

do kids play board games anymore?

there are all of these movies that have been released based on video games. Resident Evil. Final Fantasy. etc.

Right now, Clue is on Comedy Central. brilliant flick. based on a board game.

It makes me think that the market for board games has lessened because there haven't been any recent movies based on board games.

But then again, i can't think of any other movie based on a board game other than Clue in the first place.

So never mind.

i like board games. but i'm not sure i qualify as a "kid" anymore. never really did, actually, considering i'm not a goat. :p

let's try to think of board games that would make for amusing movies... hmmm...

that's too much effort for my brain right now. :p

boggle is one of my favorite board games ever. I don't know how that could be a movie.

how about chutes and ladders? or trivial pursuit?

they'd be "art" movies.

i've played hundreds of different board games, and to be honest, i just don't think most of them are movie material. Monopoly, maybe.

but the "standard", Hasbro-type of "classic" board games are selling as well now as they ever have, have no fear.

Board games are classic. I think people should use them as a way to bond with their kids...

Hey...maybe that would be a good marketing strategy for them! Play board games with your kids and they won't do drugs or commit violent acts!

Trivial Pursuit sells DVD games now...does that count as a movie? Hehehe

Re: Hi, you don't know me
true, i don't know you, but i recognized your name from when i was being nosy around some of my friends' friends list.

friends' friends.... more.... more better....

yeah, a monopoly board game *would* probably have to take a long time.

there's probably a live-action documentary movie based on monopoly going on at Microsoft right now. we just don't get the right broadcast channel.
