sometime two weeks ago one of my light bulbs burned out. I knew that i had spares, but after doing some reorganizing of my apartment several months ago i couldn't figure out where i had moved the spares to. As typical of me in a situation like that when it's not terribly urgent, i shrugged it off and figured that they would pop up at some point.

last week i still hadn't seen them, so i decided to make a more deliberate effort to locate them. i searched through a few boxes in my closet, moved some stuff around, the works. i looked through the kitchen cabinets around the sink because i knew that i had moved some stuff over there. nothing. so i started to question myself about it. Did i actually use all of my light bulbs? that didn't sound right at all. But they were nowhere to be found.

yesterday while i was grocery shopping, i decided to cave in and buy a pack of bulbs. when i got home and was unloading groceries, i decided i needed to move my empty plastic bags from where they were bunched in the corner into an actual cabinet, so i started to gather them up and opened up the cabinet that's next to my fridge.

and lo and behold. light bulbs.

i'm a dumbass.

haha! That's really funny. I hate when I buy stuff I already have, thinking I'm out of it!
The opposite way is annoying too, when you think you have a million light bulbs, lost your most important light in the house, and you open the cabinet...they are all gone.
